What is a conclusion?
It is basically the last part of your paper, containing the summary of your key points, significance of your topic, thesis statement and so on. - Summarize your points
Writing down your main points will make it easy for you in expressing what you are talking about. Only consider the main points as in the body without more explanations. You should also ensure there are no new ideas or details in the summary. It should also not be very exact but bring out the idea in a clear and unique way.
- Give your points significance
In most cases, the paper may not require you to support your points in the conclusion as in the body. However, there are papers which need you to make your points important. You can give an evaluation and significance of your points in order to attract your readers’ interest.
Additionally, if you had not explained the significance of your research in the body part, you can describe your main points and their significance.
- Indicate opportunities for the future
If you had not talked about the experience during the research, you can outline the drawbacks, challenges and problems you encountered when collecting the information to help with future research. You can use quotes, examples or personal opinion to drive the point home. This may help your readers adjust to what they will find and how to go about it to give the research a significant.

- Avoid unnecessary words– Ensure the conclusion is exact and short. Most of the long conclusions may have unnecessary information. The summary of points should be brief as per what was learnt from the research and so on.
- Do not ignore problems– If you encountered any problems, drawbacks and challenges during the research, ensure you talk about them. This will help more in future research findings and you can also give an opinion on their impact on your research.
- Do not look doubt yourself– During the research, you may find new information and this may give you doubts on how you will bring out the information you have gathered to make sense. You should be confidence and support your points in the most possible way. In this case, you should not apologize to what you have not included; you may even have more information than your professor about the research.
